  1. Ancestry.com -- Hands down the fastest and easiest way to get started with genealogy.  We recommend you try the free 7 day trial and start building your personal family tree. 
  2. VitalRec.com -- The place to look up records from a variety of sources.  Census, death records, birth records, and more.  
  3. Cindi's List --A great collection of genealogy links.  Excellent resource for seeing what other genealogy sites exist on the internet. 
  4. Footnote -- A new entry into the genealogy market.  A well designed site with other 53 million genealogy records online.  See our lesson on using footnote. 
  5. Deadfred.com -- The best name for a site which contains the greatest collection of genealogical photos online.  If nothing else, it is lots of fun to browse the photos found on the site.
